Robyn and Warrick met at church.

Robyn was finishing her matric finals and Warrick was in his first year of his apprenticeship at Mercedes Benz. Robyn had a thing for Warrick but she had to introduce herself many times before he actually remembered her name. She messaged him first and next thing you know they were going out on their first date.

They spent that night chatting away for what seemed like hours and they both felt an instant connection. One date after that, their love story officially began. 5 years from then, they’ve had many adventures together, whether it be holidaying in Cape Town, Drakensburg and Durban or going to concerts or music festivals, taking long drives in Warricks second love (the Honda) or by spending their days on the race track. Robyn finished her teaching degree and got her first real job while Warrick finished his apprenticeship and joined Merc as a qualified mechanic. In that time, their love for each other grew more and they both knew that this was forever.

That brings us to 2020 – the most unexpected year! Despite a global pandemic and the trials and tribulations that the year brought.  Warrick pulled off an unexpected proposal to an unsuspecting Robyn. During level 5 lockdown, Robyn snuck off to Warrick’s house because they couldn’t be apart for so long. She went over for her favourite dinner and a movie, arriving in her winter Pjs not thinking that anything so special would happen. After dinner, they started the movie which seemed to be normal however it soon changed into a photomontage and Warrick then got down on one knee and told her she was the only one for him. That opened a new and exciting chapter of their love story.
