Investing in your most valuable photos is a major decision. I am sure you have many questions before you decide where to spend your hard earned money. My philosophy in life is I am here to serve my clients, because I truly understand the sentimental value of that most valuable photo you own. Love is what makes the world go round, and this is true in all facets of life.
As a couple you fall in love and you have dreams and ideals to spend the rest of your life together. This results in you making a commitment to each other, getting married, then building a career and life together, then having children and so this initial token of love continues.
These moments are capture in memory, but are these moments captured in detail. This is what makes a great valuable photo….the emotion and detail in between the borders of the picture you are looking at.
I get asked by brides, couples, business owners and families many times, what do I think works best….my answer, just be yourself. A photo is not meant to be a clinical image but rather an emotional thought evoking picture that tells a story so intense you can actually feel the emotion and love exuding from it.
Once again, entrusting such an important investment in the hands a well trained, accomplished confident skilled photographer is of vital importance.

I am getting married in 12 months, how do i choose the correct photographer?
A – Each photographer has got their own style, and approach. It is however very important to choose a photographer that is well trained, has got the required skill and experience to handle a very dynamic shoot like a wedding, with varying lighting, dynamics, and still run on time, plus delivering amazing consistent results, time and time again
HOW MUCH SHOULD I BE SPENDING ON MY PHOTOS?
A – If you look at portrait photography, a well trained experienced consistent photographer delivering the most up to date images, and quality will cost you anything between R3500 – R10 000 depending on what you want to add.
A wedding photographer that is truly worth the effort and investment will charge you in the region of R10 000 – R100 000 depending on their experience, and the package you choose. A full time photographer is a true master in the art of photography, and not a weekend warrior that does it for a hobby. You must check references, testimonials and do not be afraid to ask for references and their numbers, so you can make in an informed decision.
You do get what you are paying for.
HOW LONG SHOULD I WAIT FOR MY PHOTOS?
A – This is such an excellent question, and this can be debated for hours on end. I truly believe that you should not wait for more than 14 days after your wedding to at least receive your edited photos via an online gallery or special media as per the package chosen. A full time truly skilled photographer will ensure that his/hers workflow compliments speedy delivery of high quality images and products. You should receive your images when the euphoria of your special event is still on the lips of all your guests, friends and family, so that it can be shared and loved by all who attended. Furthermore, should you have additional products, like prints, photo-books and parent’s albums, it should not take longer than an additional 14 days after you have approved artwork and proofs.
How do i decide on a schedule that will be favourable to everyone at our event?
A – A truly experienced and skilled photographer should be able to guide you and give you direction as to what works, and what does not.
